Meeting New Cats 101: Cat Maracas

Shaking a cat maracas (cat biscuits in a plastic jar) is one of the universal cat calling method. Works 90% of the time when networking with stranger cats. Too much skinny feral cats in my country so I personally keep one cat maracas in my bag whenever I go. Remember to avoid eye contact and make minimal body language when dealing timid feral cats!

He grew up with cats. Tons of cats.

My man is a cat guy but I only know that after 3 years of being together... simply because nobody asked.

Nice to meet you, Diablur

I befriended an outdoor cat from the neighbouring village across a river. I named him Diablo because he has slanted eyes and pointed ears, plus he only appears near midnight. 

Always serious, always sigh. Maybe he has big nose.

His name changed from Diablo to Diablur, and responded when I call him Blur-chan.

It took me weeks to make him trusts me. He learned how to meow. More to come.
